Could be that the track doesn't have an average through the traps like most and rather takes the actual speed at the finish line (a la G-tech). Some 1/8 miles are like that as well. Anyways, nice runs.

My times have been hovering VERY CLOSE to yours, Smokn. My best 60ft is a 1.610, and my best 1/4 is 12.06 @ 109.

Its possible .

Ollie - What was your 60' and R/T?

Just ran the times below last week with the hotcam on stock heads, best so far. I'd like to get to a 12.3-12.4 if I can get some better 60' times out of it.

His 60' was a 2.3xx and R/T doesnt have anything to do with the time.

I ran a 13.6 @ 112 at 4000 feet in calgary

First time driving a friends procharged 95 formula, hehe fun fun...

but the local track here, is at sea level, and we do get rather good air...

i also believe that the track Mission Raceway hosts some NHRA races? Or some other big points racing, so the mph averaging is definately there...

I've yet to race there, but I've visited it a few times, and I think the bastards even make you run a pro tree... Which I was very disapointed to see

umm u guys are missing my point.....and all of u with 13s or 12s at crazy MPH arent running NA but with power adders, so your times kinda make sense. I just dont see how u can run a 13.4 @ 114 mph as your best time.

I dynoed just about those same numbers as you.

On my 96 WS6 Formula, I ran a 12.44@111.27 on a 1.75. HOT cam and stock heads and all the usual bolt ons except I still had cats

Looks possible, I ran a 11.80@113.33 at No Problem Raceway with stock heads and a LT4 Hot Cam that's through a A4 with 3500 stall converter. Car weighed 3530lbs

Track elevation at 12 feet

How many times has your car actually ran 115? Once? Twice? He said he ran 113 the time before. Maybe he (like yourself) had a good run at the track - maybe he caught some N2O from someone else' purge .

It is hard to believe it ran that mph, but "Bunker" is validating his claim so I'm gonna say "good job" .

btw...I didn't see his R/T the first glance - I was only curious. I know R/T and MPH don't have a relationship .

this thread has two effects on me.. makes me want a hot cam and makes me not want one. I like the mph you guys are seeing with stock heads and the hot cam, but my best right now with boltons and 100-150lbs knocked off is 12.5@105 with a best mph of 107 which is a better than a few of the hotcam cars i am seeing. Why the mph so much higher than my car but et lower? could someone explain why this happens?

I think some of you are getting confused........ It's not that a HOTcammed car *can't* go 114 in the quarter, it's just that this guy picked up 27 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4, and I'll be one to admit, that's pretty unbelievable........ I'll also admit that stranger things have happened

exactly. THATS MY POINT..i am not saying its not possible to go 114 with a hotcam I AM SAYING THAT the time slip isnt correct or he is not telling us a whole story. (my friend ran a 12.6 @ 114 with a bolt on car, too bad next runs he was running his usual 13s at 107ish, the clocks must have been off on his run, it happens.)

Yes i only ran a 12.7 @ 115 ONCE, thats why its my best time. But i had planny of runs to back up my time... planny of 12.8s @ 114/113, and since its a M6 we all know little things make a huge difference.

If people have hard time believing my times, how in the world do u believe this time? I am betting the speed sensor gave a wrong reading.
