Ok so i am doing a hot cam kit for sure in two days. I have full exaust with long tubes, and Moroso cold air intake. Any guesses on how much hp at the motor i will gain with this kit?

 

i asked the same ? i think with a full bolt on car its like 340-350 rwhp.

 

with head work only!! More like 320 - 330 rwhp Dont expect 340 or more, you wont see that.
My 96 Z saw 340 rwhp and 335rwtq. With heads, hot cam, long tubes, tune, cia, stall, gears (3.42's) It ran very low 8's in the 1/8th mile. The Hot cam is a great cam, you will love it, My Z was a neck breaker leaving the line.

Yeah i know its not a large upgrade from stock, but it will be good enough for now. I figured i may aswell put the bastard in cause i got the kit. I originally just wanted to do valvle springs and rocker arms but then i thought, eh why not get an extra 25 hp by puttin it in lol.

 

Where do u think it will peak hp now? IT says it will peak hp at 5500 rpms on the chart that gm gave me with that cam. I dont think thats accurate though, i would think peak hp would come in at around 6k.

 

my car peeked where it cut off 6400 and still climbing. it would only cut off because it would shift to 4th gear. The shop I dynoed it at was perdominatly ls1 cars. They were very impressed to see hp never drop off with the hot cam.

You could expect about 320. From what I hear it's a great cam.

 

I'm pretty sure there are some full bolt on and tuned Hotcam M6's putting 350 to the wheels.....
