I've got 252,000 miles and it has been running great excet for a recent rough idle problem. The only major repair besides 3 Optis is I had to replace the cam and lifters. It started ticking and I found the lobe was chipped.

Love this car!

 

I had a '94 Caprice LT1 once that saw over 130K over 7 hard years and still ran very strong. It didn't use any oil at all. The only problems were the normal LT1 things like opti, waterpump, & fuel pump.

I miss that car.

 

My friend has a caprice with 135k and turns a 14.2 in the 1/4. He just bought another one that has 180k and the engine runs flawlessly.

 

243,000 here...original opti too!!!!!

My 96 z28 has 298,000 on it and is still running
im not the original owner so I can't guarantee it's original but I couldn't find any records saying that the engine or transmission have been replaced
The engine still has decent oil pressure and a couple minor leaks although the transmission is hurting a bit and shifts hard into 2nd when cold
