High 11s with the converter swap?

Any thoughts or experience with this? I'm hoping for a high 11 tomorrow with the swap from a Vig. 2800 to a Yank 3600. The only thing is, it looks like it will be about 15 degrees hotter than when I ran the 12.12. You guys think the converter swap will get me there?

It should provided you have good traction. But the weather can slow these carsx down a couple tenths also but you will be able to see if the 60's are better. Later Clint

Thanks guys, any idea what kind of 60ft. is possible with a full weight car like mine, this Yank converter, 370rwhp, and a dead hook. Traction doesn't seem to be a problem with the MT street radials.

I dropped 5 solid tenths swapping my LPE 2800 to my Vig 3600...No other changes, same weather conditions...While I have no experience with Yank, I think you'll be happy, BUT I'd wait for some nice, cool weather, too...

Well, the car ran about the same. Even a couple of hundreds slower. A little disappointed to say the least, but will try again when the weather is better. The best tonight was a 12.14.

don't be disappointed at all........just wait til you get some good air. This is not the time of year to be breaking records

Yeah, you almost beat your best time in the heat. It's been 90+ here, so not the ideal time to run.

Well, I guess it wasn't a total lose. My reaction times are averaging about .125, and on one pass I did cut a 1.63 60ft. The car doesn't vary by more than .05 and I'm thinking of trying some bracket racing one of these days. Haven't done that in years.

with as dead-nuts consistent that it has been, bracket racing may suit you very well.

Thanks SS, it was the new wheels and tires that helped my reaction times. I can't do it any other way besides leave on the last yellow and be consistant. I've tried. With the stock salad shooters and Nittos my best was about .250 to .350, not good. Changed to the Bogarts and MTs, and my reation times improved, go figure.

My reaction times improved with Bogarts and M/T radials...I think it's because my wallet is much lighter now...
