I noticed recently after running my car hard for a while, say 100 mph for a few miles, after I come to a stop and go to accelerate, if I give it about 30% throttle or more, it starts off to accelerate, then hesitates like it's trying to go, but it sits there for a few seconds jumping and hesitating. Also, one time after I ran it down an 1/8 mile track, it cut off after I let out of the throttle and then started back up on its on. Also, one time after I ran it hard for a while, it cut off under medium acceleration from a dead stop, and then upon cranking back up, took about 3 seconds to fire before it started. Could a fuel pump going bad cause this? Please help.

Try cleaning your MAP sensor. Remove it and shoot some carb or brake cleaner in the whole in the sensor.

When was the last time you changed the o2 sensors?

Do you have an aftermarket fuel pump? If not, I doubt it's the pump.

Try cleaning the tb an iac.

 

What is your MAP Sensor? Also, I don't think my Oxygen Sensors have ever been changed. Also, what was that last thing you said?

By the way, my fuel pump is factory.

 

Try cleaning the throttle body and idle air control valve. Both can be found on shoeboxes website, do a search for it.
