Help tracking down TPS problem (pinout?)
Help tracking down TPS problem (pinout?)
Hi, I have a TPS sensor fault, and I went ahead and got a new one, still the same code.
I checked, and am getting the 5v reference voltage and the ground looks good. That make me think that the wire that carries the signal back to the pcm is damaged. I cannot figure out which wire it is going into the pcm...several wires with the same color.
Any ideas on how to trace this wire back to the pcm or troubleshoot this problem would be appreciated. This is a track only car, and drives pretty good on road courses at speed. At lower rpms it doesnt run so well..and will hardly idle .big cam but I think the tps sensor problem is adding to the problem.
Thanks
Tim

Shoebox has the wiring diagrams for the 95 LT1 on his website. The TPS sensor is shown on page "pcm1"
