Help me pick some heads

the ones i have now Lloyd elliot did 5 years ago they are 95 lt1 castings

he gutted them and did one of his most extreme port jobs ever. they are welded and smoothed really great heads but i had them shaved to 50cc

back then i was going for a high compression all effort motor its a 398 ci lt1 and has 14.5:1 compression with my heads cause the pistons are .005 out of the hole

so what bare castings would you reccomend me for 93 octane? has a solid roller cam in the high 600's, th400, moser spooled 9" with 4.30 gears.

i have been out of the loop for a few years and lost track of whats new and or working good

That's an easy one. Call Advanced Induction. I used LE2's for several years. Best N/A was 12.41@109. Built a 385 stroker this spring with AI 200cc heads, cam, and intake. The car has picked up almost a second N/A. Ran a best Of 11.53@116 at the LTX shootout and came in runner up in Extreme Street N/A. And using a smaller cam on the AI setup.

If the heads are "really great".... why not change the pistons to drop the CR?

What is the dynamic compression ration (DCR)? That's what determines the fuel octane requirement, and that's what you need to figure to get the correct piston dish.

+2 on the AI setup. AI heads hold all of the records. It only makes sense.

What is the goal for the car (maybe I missed it in the first post)?

AI and LE both have great results. I picked LE because of how I was treated when dealing with him... 4th set of heads being sent to him for work.

If you just wanting something to cruise around the car shows in you might be better off keep the heads you have.

What are your power goals?
