Help me choose the right plug wires

I've had it with my Taylors. I don't like the custom fit style wires. I'm finding it's too easy to make a mistake with crimping the opti end of the wire. But I have found that its a whole lot easier to crimp the spark plug end of the wire. ( A lot less idiot proof in making a good contact.) I read in an earlier post that MSD sells a set that's a custom fit...that comes with the opti ends already terminated....is this true? I've searched a lot of sites, but no one seems to get specific enough to a part number on which end is terminated and which one isn't. Can anyone who has the OVC looms shed some light on which wires you used and whether or not they were easier than the Taylors? Not to mention, I don't like the inner core of the Taylors either. The spiral wound core just doesn't seem very durable. Anyone with an opinion is welcome!

I have MSD 8.5mm SC wires run OVC. I got the universal set with 45* Opti ends precrimped. I'm not at home so I don't have a part# but if no one gives you one soon I will post later tonight.

Thumbs up

Just my $.02, but Taylor wires suck. I had them and they just didn’t work for me. I went to Accel Extreme 9000 and they are a far better wire. They have GREAT customer service too. One of my ends got dried out because it was to close to the headers and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. So for what it’s worth I like the Accels.

i dont like the taylors either. After i put them in my car, it would miss @ low rpm's. I would personally get nothing but the regular AC Delco wires, they work just fine.

The Taylor wires are the best wires i've had. I don't think you will regret them. The Taylor OTVC set was the best money I spent.
