I know when I say Jordon's kit on a Turbo'd 383, his used some black alignment keys - and he has Comp R's for lifters. I'm using stock lifters w/ the factory alignment keys and 16 little "nubs" that rest on top of the lifter body.

But, I have some comp R's on order as this HE grind cam is floating my valves at about 6k. <- It's the only thing I have left to change! LOL.
Sounds like maybe a spring issue, not lifters. What spring are you using?

Not too sure.. But they measure around 145lbs on the seat right now. Some double coil w/ a dampner that Seth at Combination Motorsprts hooked me up with. However I did dyno today and it seems my fuel pump is taking a dive - 14.2:1 a/f @ 6000rpms.. So I'm going to install a new fuel pump and see if that helps some. At 2k I'm running around 11:1 a/f, it just leans out as RPM's increase (by about 25psi according to my FP gauge).

Yeah... Stock FP though, so I guess it's to be expected.

bunker,

I was over at GMRULZ house today (he's doing heads and cam too). We pulled his stock lifters and compared those to the Comp R's........the body of the R lifter is practically IDENTICLE to the stock lifter body. The Rev kit springs rest on the lifter body, you are good to go.

Yep, body of the lifter looks identical to me. I put the 2 side by side and could see no difference. The only diff is a little preload built into the comp R`s. One thing also since there is preload built in never tighten your lash more than a 1/8th of a turn past zero, do not treat these lifters like stock lifters when setting the lash. 1/16 to an 1/8th past zero and you will be straight. More than that and you will have premature failure of comp R`s. FYI.

Good luck
