Has trouble starting when hot?
I have posted before about my problems the general response i have gotten is opti. However the problems i had driving have all been going away mostly. It could be from a lot less driving but im not sure. My problem is now when the car is warm it has trouble starting. Some times i turn the key and just nothing happens, turn it again and it fires right up. Other times it will turn over really really slow it will give a rrrnnn........rrrnnn......rrrnnn (not necesarily 3 times) then fire up. Is this just another opti problem im really confused any help is appreciated thanks.
Sounds like the starter. The first thing to do is make sure all the connections are clean. The grounds and the power connections even the cluster of positive wires on the right fender. Then check the battery voltage before and during cranking. You don't want to go below about 11Volts. Also check to see that the voltage goes up once the cars is running and should be about 13 volts or so once it is.
If these things are ok, and it still cranks slow or sometimes not at all, it's the starter.

But if it is the starter why does it only have trouble when the car is warm? I would think that if it was the starter it would have trouble all of the time. But i am not sure on that ether. thanks for your advice.
My car also has a harder time stating up when its hot, as opposed to a cold start (where it starts right up) but I did not think it was a big deal since the car still starts fine. There was just this one time at the track where it took 2 tries to start up.
