I don't know why the mac y-pipe is not lining up to the collectors. Do you all have any idea's why??? I put the headers on bolted them down. The y-pipe is short about and inch or two!

This is a common problem with Macs, the same thing happened to mine. I just took it to a muffler shop and they cut the y-pipe in half and re-welded it so it fits perfectly with no leaks.

The exhaust shop that put my y pipe up said it fit awesome and usually they have problems with y pipes but mine was a perfect fit.

Try putting the drivers side in 1st and dont tighten the bolts much. Then try and get the passenger side to bolt in. Dont connect the cat (or off-road pipe) until after you already have the other 2 pieces bolted (not necessarily tight) down.

Hope that helps. I know they can be bitches sometimes.

woundn't the safer thing be to just have the exhaust hop extend the pipe by an inch so that I don't put any stress on the headers bolts in the ALUMINUM heads. I am thinking might as well take it, have them extend the y-pipe connect the s-pipe and weld me a straight pipe in their to finish off my exhaust.

My Hooker shorty y pipe didn't fit right either. The instructions said to put the headers and y pipe together loosely then start tightening everything a bit at a time. I cut the y pipe instead and had them splice it back together at the muffler shop. Otherwise I was afraid I would constantly fighting leaks and broken fasteners/stripped bolt holes.
They can fix it fairly easily and it won't cost you a lot, probably $25.

I didn't have any fit problems whatsoever with my MAC Y-Pipe.
