griffin 25241

i just got the new griffin rad, and im getting ready to put it in, and just wnated to hear from people that have the same rad, just wondering what you used for hoses and fans. the thermostat hose runs down to the lower passenger side part of the rad right? i noticed they are very different sizes... just wondering what to do for hoses and fans at this point, thanks guys!

I used all stock hoses, for fans I had real problem, I had the oil cooler put on for some reason... I used Summit dual 11s puller fans work to perfection... Singke would not cool the car in 90+ heat....

It all depends, the flex 220 dual pullers would not fit, the trans cooler, oil cooler, steam vent, and both rad hoses would not allow for a snug tight fit, I did'nt opt to cut 4 holes in a set of 250 dollar fans........ Pusher option would not keep the car cool in 90+ temps outside (same fans)... Single mono flex puller also would not keep it cool.... If you have a man trans the flex 220 should work, but still requires modifications!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Off the top of my head the space you have to work with is 16.5 by 10 inches, the fin area... I wouls suggest you buy the fans at NAPA so you can return easy, and they do sell flex products.

This guy did it with flex 220, but as you can see it does not fit correct, and that will result in a huge loss in cooling.. The turbo setup looks perfect though...

well your a little off, i have about 15 in height to work with, and 22 width, for the finned area. theres no way the summin dual 11 fan set up would work, its 18 high. must be a different rad? i have the griffin 25241

what if i used 2 of these?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRM-19120/
the cfm says 2350, for one.... seems a little high to me? if thats right, 2 would be plenty right? i know theres no shroud, but all the dual fan set ups seem to be to wide to work with my 22 inchs of width...

Same rad, and I was off on the sizes, but its the same radiator... I did a lot of post on this issue...

These workhttp://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G4852/

Those 10s would not do the job IMO..

do you have any pics of how you made this work out? or is the summit measurement wrong? it doesnt look like 18 and a half in the pics since its only an 11 inch fan...
but my total heigh is 15.5, and the fin area height is 14 total. thanks!
