fan question

I have a 1996 Z28. And I want to use this set up to activate the fans at a cooler temp. www.summitracing.com/parts/jet-60602/. jet gm fan switches. The application shows only for 1993 through 1995 Lt1s. Has anyone used this on a 1996. Or is there another product that will work the same way.

Short of sending the PCM out to be retuned.......hypertech power programmer if you're using a mild bolt-on setup

I suspect the year limitation might be because it may cause a check engine light for the fan relay circuits (because of OBD-II).

You could go the reprogramming route or make a fan switch for a few bucks in parts.
