gen 2 dragonfire opti spark

my opi just went by-by again, this makes third one in a little over 2 years, has anyone tried the dragonfire unit, i'm turning more than 7k and the oem just will not hold up. http://all-ignition.com/gen2-df-lt1.html, i know that all-ignition has had problems but they have treated me good and helped on repairs on a oem unit for me. i also looked at changing to LS1 type system but i just don't want to do that. the dragonfire unit looks alot like the $600 unit i found by MSD. will be ordering new one friday.

Everyone I have seen says to stay way, way away from this company. Apparently many people have a history with them, and their product "sucks."

If you search around for "all-ignition," I'm sure you'll find enough information to make your own determination. Here's one example:

the problem i am having is the rotor keep coming apart, i read some where about riveting the rotor brass contact in place and also replacing the screws with rivets has anyone tried this. i have three units, all three the rotor is out and in one it damaged the wheel. also i am in the orlando fl. area is there a shop that can test these units before i put back in.

Have you checked the dowel pin length, to insure a "too long" pin isn't pushing the rotor into the cap?
