gauges not working, please help

I was going to install aftermarket gauges, after seeing them on the car i will be keeping the stock gauges...anyhow,

tachometer, does not work, my car is a 93 (so it has a tach filter taped to the engine harness, can someone get me a pic*or good description* of the wire and the coil it connects to so i can make sure it's clean)

speedometer also doesnt move(once again pics or description would be greatly appreciated

oil pressure reads good,

voltage meter, always reads all the way, which is obviously not correct

fuel gauge reads full(although its not), correct me if i'm wrong but i think i need to pop off the needle and put it on at the correct place, and it will take care of itself

Flash your codes, your speed sensor may be bad.

As for the fuel gauge, all 4th Gens have a problem with accuracy.

I do believe the '93 uses a speedo gear instead of a sensor. May be something wrong w/ the gear or cable not hooked up/broken?

93 has a VSS, but its gear driven, not reading a reluctor on the tailshaft like other years. And its wired directly to the speedo.

i checked codes the other day for a different issue their were no codes...

fuel gauge im not so worried about, i know its manually adjusted, so i'll just fill it up and put it at full

but what about amp gauge, how is it measured?

There is no "amp" gauge. There is a voltage gauge, that reads the charging system voltage.

If the fuel gauge is ALWAYS at full, the wire from the sensor isn't connected, the sensor is damaged or the float is caught on something. Arbitrarily moving the needle wouldn't seem to be the best fix.
