1996 camaro Z28 SS

so today i was heading home. as i was down the block the car started to bog and sputter real bad ( out of gas ) so i berly get it home. i get some gas put it in it and it wont start. put about 4gallons in it. i thought it was possibly the fule filter so i threw a new one on... still nothing. i then took some starter fluid and sprayed it in my carb. and it only runs for a second. ( only when fluid is sprayed in carb )

Im guessing its the fule PUMP. if your thinking the same thing... witch is the best way to replace it? by dropping the gas tank or what...?

Why not put a pressure guage on it and see if the pump is working? Always better to do a bit of diagnostic work before randomly buying parts and hoping it will fix it.
