Fuel Pump Install

I'm thinking about doing the fuel access panel mod.

My stock pump is starting to give out by 5000rpm. Drops from 48psi to 40 psi!! Bought a Walbro.

When I cut the fuel access panel, will I be able to diconnect all the lines right there or do I still have to drop the tank or what?

Thanx I borrowed a friend's digital camera so I'll probably make a tech page on how to install Walbros.

is possible to do in a convertable? i cut the access door as far back as i could but i cant get to the fuel lines to unhook them. my convertable doesnt seem to have as much room as a coupe and i have a big brase bar right behind the rear seat.

You can't cut the panel back far enough? Or is it not wide enough?

I don't think you can do the trap door on the convertibles. My friend has one and his trunk doesn't go back that far.

Unless you removed the top?
