when my car gets lower than a 1/2 tank of gas it goes to empty pretty quick,i stalled i would wait 30 seconds start drive 500 feet stall again.i do not think it was completely empty.i put 6 gallons of gas in and it runs fine. but the gas gauge reads over 3/4 of a tank. can the gas gauge go?maybe i had less gas than i thought and just ran out.how do you tell if the fuel pump is going? thank you

 

usually can tell if its going when the motor stumbles at heavy acceleration...mine felt like an optispark problem honestly.

as for the gas guage, mine is 1/2 tank off...i usually just fill it up every 150 or so miles.

 

same problem. i fill at about 180.
