Fuel pressure - Help here plz

Im trying to find out if my fuel pump is the cause to my problems.

I lose power at WOT

when i spray the 150 wet kit it feels as if it has none to little effect. This has been getting worse and worse for a few weeks.

I tested the fuel pressure with a guage. At idle initially it was 39 then with the vacumm line off the pressure regulator it was 45(to simulate WOT).

I let it run a bit because my problem with power seems to come a minute into the ride.

2 minutes passed and the fuel pressure at idle was 36-37. Then at simulated WOT it was 44.

I then tested fuel pressure during cruise rpms at 3k rpms it was 34-35 psi

Sounds like a fuel pump going bad but i know nothing about this so im asking anyone thats been through this or has some expertise to clue me in here.

Re: Fuel pressure - Help here plz

You have to measure the fuel pressure at WOT, max load/max RPM. Testing it at idle or under part load/cruise conditions doesn't prove the pump can support max engine load. It should be able to hold within 2psi of the "no vacuum" reading at WOT.
