fuel level guage whacked out
fuel level guage whacked out
OK...This has happened twice. When my car sits for long periods, the fuel level guage goes up above "F" when I start driving it again...No matter how much gas is in the tank.
It first did it when I did my heads/cam last season. When I first fired the car, the needle went above "F", after driving for a while, it starting registering correct again.
It has sat since the end of last season with a broken rear. I got the new one in Saturday, and sure enough, the needle is again pegged above "F". This time I can't get it to start working correctly, though.
Does this sound electrical, or mechanical (float stuck)? Anyone else have any problems with their fuel guages in their F-Bodies?
Frank
