Forged Speed Pro Pistons?

Alright guys here is my question. Will speed pro forged piston be a good choice for my application? I am looking into building a 355ci lt1 here in the near future (6-9 months). I have pretty much decided that I will be going with a comp cam (305 or 306) with 1.6 rr, p/p heads and replacing everything in the top end. I will be retaining my stock crank and rods. This motor will be used for mostly street and seeing the track maybe twice a month in the cool weather months here in Georgia (Oct-Nov, Feb-Apr). I will be spraying a 100 hp shot of n2o on it at track use ONLY. I am hoping for 340-360 hp out of the motor (na) and 450ish on the bottle with my current mods after the build. Hope thats not shooting to high. Also I have a second question that deals with stall converters. Does TCI make a stall for the 4l60e? And what is the part number/price for it? Well thats it thanks to all for any input.

They are decent pistons. Not of the quality of say JE or Ross, but perfectly adequate for what you have in mind. I don't know anything much about TCI converters. You might call Caon about a converter.

definately dont go TCI for the converter. get a Vig (percision industries).

as far as the pistons go...ud be alright. they are decent pistons. but u get what u pay for. the prices in jegs/summit dont include rings from what i remeber. so for the added cost of those u may as well spend the other $100 for some SRP's that come with rings. much better quality IMO.

Speed Pro pistons are around 800grams each.
SRP's, Rosses and some of the others are alittle over 500 grams each.

As far as integrity I can only assume the SRP's and others are higher quality because the price difference is large.
