Chrisbequick, no offense but I think I saw a Magnaflow crossflow style muffler with a C shaped baffle as well. I can't remember where, nor when, but I'm about 75% positive I remember seeing one.

I could be wrong too, but I can sorta see where he's going. Do you know for a fact that the crossflow muffler from the 3.5" catback does not have a C-baffle?
Just thought I'd ask

Look at a crossflow next time because I know what I am talking about!
Lmao, why would Magnaflow put anything simlilar to a chamber in a FLowmaster muffler in their own muffler. Their motto is "Straight through design". The only restriction in a crossflow Magnaflow muffler is where they make it turn to come out the passenger side of the muffler. The tubes inside are straight through. Of course when you look in the hole for the passenger side tailpipe your gonna see nothin but the other end of the muffler cause there is no pipe on that end. It just bends around to connect to the pipe inside. No walls, no chambers. It's dead on their site how they design there mufflers.

Lol, lotta new wrong information lately.

Well i guess I should weigh in here. Last year I installed Hooker LT's with the Mufflex 4" collector Y-pipe. At the same time I installed a CSI electric waterpump. The results?? I picked up almost .2 and about 1/2 MPH. That's IT. My car runs great, no codes, no hesitations or flat spots. It just ran marginally faster with the "best single mod" people talked about (Long tubes). I thought it could be false knock. So I did the knock sensor mod to take it out of the equation. No gain. Couldn't figure out why the car wasn't faster. Then alot of guys here blamed my Flowmaster American Thunder system. Look at it this way, with the stock manifolds in place (and a gutted cat) the Flowmaster flowed well enough for 13.8's and 101 MPH. With the massive flow increase of the LT system it simply overwhelmed the Flowmaster muffler. How can I prove this?? Simple..........the track opens soon and before I take my Camaro I'm gonna tune her up and the only mod I'm installing is gonna be a cutout. I'll post the results here when I get back from the track. I'll actually be looking for a MPH increase not a ET increase (I"m on street tires with a 2.73 rear). Will my car be faster with the cutout?? If I go from 102MPH to 104MPH simply with a cutout it shows the Flowmaster was holding me back. Stay tuned. I think alot of people here will be interested in the results.

He's never clarified what this supposed "c-shaped baffle" is. I asked him if he was referring to louvers and he never responded. I asked him to point out the baffle he was referring to at the same website that Robbie posted and got no response. I have seen Magnaflow's crossflow, though, and the only thing I can see him referring to would be a flow director to help equalize exhaust pressure between the two sides to help improve flow, but since he won't explain what he's referring to I guess we'll never know.

Anyone's flowmaster giving the raspy rattling sound when you hit it hard and or decelerating from mid to high rpm?
I hate mine and think I will get the edelbrock from a buddy of mine.

Yeah, that happens when you don't use cats.

Chrisbequick: I think that's what I remember seeing. Not so much a baffle, but exactly what that description on the Magnaflow site said. Just something to redirect the exhaust to the passenger side.

WHAT PART OF " THAT IS NOT A CROSSFLOW " DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?

Read the Magnaflow stuff on the F-Body muffler Quote " With crossflow director " un-quote.

I know the 2.5 In / 2.25Out, and 2.5In / 2.5Out mufflers have the c-shaped " flow director ".

There is no way that a Magnaflow can out flow a Flowmaster and there is no way that a flowmaster flows less than stock.

With how little the muffler is it is impossible, not to mention the Magnaflows have a large c-shaped baffle about 1 inch from the inlet.
What im saying is that a Crossflow Magnaflow muffler will outflow a Crossflow Flowmaster muffler hands down. What makes you think it wouldnt? The only restriction the Magnaflow has is that c-shape which only directs half of the exhaust out the other sidepipe.

Thats great, I just wasn't going to be told I was lying about a dumb muffler.

I think people just need to look at what is going on there cars, no one knows about the baffle on magnaflows but they are all 100% sure it out flows Brand X Hmmmmmmmmm.................

So now you admit it's actually a flow director as I stated before, rather than a baffle as you stated long ago. Your duplicity is showing. And I never said you were lying, I said you didn't know what you were talking about and you've proven it.
