Finally replaced the Hooker cat-back with the GMMG today...

Well I got to say, it was definitely worth it...But I already knew that since I've had the GMMG on my previous '00 Z28 and also now on my '02 Z28. Just got it w/ the optional tips through a GP over at LS1Tech. The system looks and fits great (not to mention it flows very, very well).

But now I can finally hear my car idling from inside and it is much more louder inside and out than the previous Hooker muffler at any rpm...A lot more aggressive sounding and just sounds downright evil when revving it up. It's more of a rawer sound than the muffled tone of the Hooker or Flowmaster systems.

It's amazing how such a simple little change can make your car so much more fun to drive... Can't wait to get some headers on this thing come next spring!

What Hooker exhaust did you have on your car? I just installed hooker headers and a full cat-back exhaust system from Hooker on it too and it sounds mean.

Not my car, but here is a really good pic of what it looks like on a Camaro with the optional oval tips...

BTW, it looks exactly the same on my '95 & '02...
