Re: Feul pressure ?

Stock pressure is 41-47 psi with the vacuum hose to the regulator removed.

41-47 with the hose off. 38-41 with the hose on/running. Honestly, you're probably better off returning the regulator and getting your money back though. Their LT1 regulator is junk IMO.

Why do you day that? The only thing wierd about them is that they aren't designed to hold pressure after the ign is turned off, but that is so they can get better flow. I'm very happy with the one I have, and it gives a good boost-referenced signal for a propper pressure rise under boost. It also has a port for the FP gauge sender so you don'g have to run it off the schraeder valve. For a stock fuel line setup, I think they are a good regulator.

Re: Feul pressure ?

We had numerous posts here over the years about the Aeromotive AFPR's failing. I pointed it out, and Aeromotive signed up, and reemed my butt for pointing it out, claiming a Moderator doesn't have a right to do that. In the same post, they admitted they had a bad batch of regulators, and offered a free replacement, no questions asked. Unfortunately, I continue to see repeated posts about problems with the Aeromotive LT1 AFPR.

Take the vacuum line off, and set it as close to 43.5psi as you can get it.

I didn't know that. Do you know what the failure mode was? or what goes bad in them? There's not much inside of there.

Now I got to watch out for my Aero regulator AND my MSD opti. That's just great

Re: Feul pressure ?

I believe they claimed that back in the early 2000's there was a change in pump gasoline formulation that they failed to pick up on, and the elastomers in the regulator were damaged by the new components in the fuel. I can't remember any more than that. The most common problem seems to be the fuel pressure jumping up to about 80psi and not coming down when the adjusting screw is turned.

It does not seem to be as common a problem as it used to be, so maybe they improved things. Most of their products have an excellent reputation, so it seemed odd that they would have so many problems specifically with the LT1 AFPR.
