95 Camaro Z28 Fuel Tank Pressure

I have a 1995 Camaro Z28. I put a new fuel pump and fuel filter in it and now it builds pressure in the tank, gas boils, and the vent valve pours fuel everywhere, the engine bogs down and dies. I have been told it can be anything from a vacuum line for Evap Solenoid or a plugged/defective charcoal canister. Any suggestions?

What pump did you install?

Pressure comes from excessive heat, causing large amounts of fuel to vaporize. May be a problem with a faulty or incorrect pump.

What was the original problem that led you to replace the pump.

Are you sure you connected the vent valve and EVAP canister lines to the correct pipes on the sender assembly?
