Evac pumps

I spoke with Madman racing the other day about what they are using for an evac pump now. They tell me there using the air pumps off a 03 cobra or 02up lighting. I call Ford about this pump and they say it doesnt exist. Anyone have a part number for this? Madman use to use the old caddy pumps but they no longer make them.

If nobody knows of this or where i can find it what are you using. I know some are using the stainless pump but Im not looking to drop more then $150.

Re: Evac pumps

If you're going to do an evac pump, do it right, don't "poor boy" it. An "AIR" pump isn't going to pull anywhere near the vacuum of a "real" evac pump. You're looking at about $600......

Re: Evac pumps

for a street car im not so much interested in that plus I dont have the room. Im mainly doing it to get rid of small little oil leaks that im sick of tracking. Im thinking the intercooler pump is what madman is talking about. It would be an intercooler pump for an 03 cobra or 02up lighting. Im wondering if I could use thisand if it would work? 5-10" is all i need.

Re: Evac pumps

Check the "Advanced Tech" forum. Someone just posted on there today that they were running a "Cobra" pump.
