Engine swap

Looking to see if anyone knows I I will run into any trouble installing a 96 Camaro LT1 into my 95. Pretty sure I would have to swap timing covers, and probably swap my knock sensor over, but aside from that, would there be any other pitfalls?

Re: Engine swap

IIRC, the crank hub on a 96 is shorter because of the crankshaft position sensor.

Re: Engine swap

There is no need to delete the CKP sensor or change the timing cover or the crank hub. Just leave it all alone, and don't plug in the CKP sensor, since there is nothing to plug it into. You'll have the vacuum detector for the EVAP system, and that doesn't get plugged into anything on your 95 either. That can be deleted because its another eyesore.
