PCM question

Alright so I was giving a 97 ss camaro with a blown 383. I knew nothing about the car all I did was swapped out blown motor with a stock motor. I got same cam and supporting mods that 383 had, which is cc503. Car now runs and drives pretty good but is running a 95 auto pcm and I am throwing a ses code. I tried differnt sources trying to locate what codes it was throwing and have had no luck even used lap top and cable. I am aware that 95 was obd1 and 97 has obd2 connector and like I mentioned tried different sources to find codes. When we attempt to get codes all we get is a message saying pcm not detected or something similiar to this. I have two extra pcm that are stock one is a 94 firebird pcm its an a4 pcm and other is 97 a4 pcm. Can I install these even tho there stock and wont idle or run right to try and run codes again even tho my car is a m6. Hopefully Ive given enough info and made somewhat sense.

Re: PCM question

Even the 95 LT1 uses a 16-pin ALDL connector, even though the PCM is OBD-I. Shoebox has the pinout for the 95 connector on his website. First make sure the 97 connector is pinned out the same as the 95. Then use a 12-pin to 16-pin adapter plug for the OBD-I scanner you are using, or use jumper wires as suggested by Shoebox.

Note that this link is provided only for the 95 pinout. Ignore the part about flashing the codes. That won't work after 1993.
