are you still running the stock catback? if so i can see that choking you down alot.

also shorty headers on a 97 probably mean your still running the stock y-pipe as well and cats...
if thats all true then thats pretty good numbers.
i see the above holding you back by at least 20 hp if not more

I had the cats removed when I had the car tuned. On the 97 where the cross pipe meets the driver side shorty header. I cut a piece of piping to be inserted to join the header and pipe due dealing with an exhaust leak from the sandwiched gasket that is difficult to stop. This past weekend I decided to inspect this and found that my make shift pipe had melted and almost created a blockage.

Also determined that my number 5 cylinder spark plug insulator tip was broken and was sliding around on it. Going to try and fix these areas and see If I can see a difference afterwards. Really tired of the exhaust leak on the driver side, hoping I can pick up some PacSetter LT's soon and be done with it.

366 rwhp is pretty damn stout to me. Long tubes would probably get you 15-20 more. I would be happy with 366 rwhp !!!

Thanks Matt! One of these days I'll get some long tubes. In the process of swapping out the driver side header, the flange gasket was seriously warped not allowing it to seal properly with the cross pipe. Cant wait to get everything running perfectly. Next thing on my list is a t56 rebuild.

Don't listen to the naysayers those are good numbers for local hand ported heads and shorty headers, get some ebay stainless steel long tubes and y pipe and it should pick up even more power. By the way what size injectors are you running and did you upgrade your fuelpump?

Thanks! I'm running 40lb injectors. I'm also running a 255lph racetronix in tank fuel pump.

You need longtubes! Those shorties are choking that motor. Another mod to look into is an electric water pump to free up some more power along with the headers. Easy 20+whp.
