DynoTuned 355ci cc306 w/ported heads today

I wanted to share my results from what my car put down today after getting it Dynotuned. I originally ordered a mail-order tune thinking that it would be sufficient, although after getting it up on the dyno and seeing what the results were I was a bit disappointed, but knew that there was room for improvement. The first few pulls on the mail-order tune put me around 330hp/tq. After seeing that the AFR was off and improving on this, my tuner was able to boost that up to 366hp/352tq. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome, despite the fact that I'm still running shorty headers. I plan to upgrade to longtubes and port match my intake to see if I can squeeze out some additional power down the road.

Why do you feel it necessary to make all these nasty comments? This is really getting tiresome.

I'd like to hear more details about the car before concluding that the numbers are a success or failure. Your signature is grossly outdated, but with a full mods list, motor specs, and head specs, I could give you some feedback.

Congrats, man. I'm sure you're loving the feeling. Keep adding those supporting mods and get all you can outta that combination.

Sure I can give you a quick list of parts that went into the build:
Pistons - SRP 5cc forged w/JE rings
Scat - H-beam forged stroke 3.480
ARP - main stud kit
Ported Heads w/ 2.00" intake valves 5 angle port job (Done at Rob's Machine Shop Bayarea)
Comp CC306
GM Self Aligning 1.6rr
Comp 918 beehives
Comp hardened Pushrods
Bored .30 over with torque plate
Block Decked to about 9.015

BBK Shorty Headers (Looking to get some longtubes soon)
BBK 52mm throttle body (not port matched to intake)

That pretty much covers it for the engine. I would had loved to go with some LE heads but found a shop that was local that would accept credit card since I had limited funds after beefing up the bottom end.

Thanks 12sec97Z28, hoping that I can unlock additional power once I get it breathing right.

Really? A bone stock ls1 that rear wheeled more than the engine spec'd from the factory, with no tune of any kind or mods?

And let's see some video of your 10 sec ride

Honestly im gonna ask what nobody else did. Is it a 6 speed or auto? Cause both seem really low. Terribly low if it is a 6 speed.

330 seems a bit high for a stock 99 (crappy LS1 intake and all) but who knows. My 98 did 314 rwhp and 325 rwtq with just a catback and tune at 130k miles through a factory 6 speed, manifolds, cats and replacement paper filter. The LS motors were generally under rated from factory.

If I had to guess that's probably an auto car with a 3k stall in it to hit those numbers with heads and cam.

Take it to the track and see what it does.

This is with a 6 speed. Hoping I can increase this with better headers and exhaust.

Do you have flow numbers for the ported heads?

Unfortunately I do not have the flow numbers for the heads. I had asked the shop that ported the heads to do this, but they failed to provide this.

I'd fail to provide them with payment.
