Re: dyno results.. nitrous

255 Bridgestone Comp TAs. Not a sticky tire from my perspective. Too much relief between tread lines that is all linear. Sort of all weather I think.... I have my eye on some nitto 555s. I have to watch because when I changed my differential to the zexel the sides of the C clips were worn from the axle grooves which are also worn. Plus I was stupid when I bought the diff and got a 2 series which made me go with a spacer. On an automatic that's okay but add some sticky tires like you have and I might need to be trailered home.

I just got back from the store with supplies for the scanmaster install. I'm not going to make it for tomorrow. Dragway 42 here in W. Salem has T&T on fridays as well. More crowded but I might make it then. Keep posting your progress please.

And just looking at the graph (guy who started the post), with all the backtracking and loops, you've got a problem with the ignition, or they didn't get a clean hookup on the timing signal on #1. The dyno computer is seeing the RPM drop and jump erratically, which causes the erratic graph. I'm surprised the shop even gave you a graph that looked that bad, at least without explaining to you why it happened.

Re: dyno results.. nitrous

he said i needed to get my iginition checked out.
the erratic jumping of rpms, i beleive that is the surging and popping that i have noticed lately.
car goes good, then stops pulling, then pulls again.

yesterday i installed all new plugs, but have yet to take the car out. i dont think they were the problem though. 2 of them had some buildup on them, if i had a good camera i would post pics.
wires are near new, msd coil is 1 1/2 years old, have never messed with the ICM or the opti.

Still very nice and modest gains despite the problems. Be sure to post the new results when everything is figured out and fixed.

I hope not, the kit on Brian's 97' is off of my LS1 car, I saw a .9 & 9 MPH improvement in the 100*+ weather with a 100 shot and barely 900psi of bottle pressure. That same 100 shot in the cold w/ 1000-1050 psi gave me 11 MPH. Lots of spin on that pass, so despite the 11 MPH of trap speed... I only picked up like .5 - .6 on that pass.

I wouldn't be afraid of the rear, I've seen violent launches on stock rears before. Hell, my stock 10 bolt has many launches on ET Streets and a 150 kit.

Re: dyno results.. nitrous

So how much timing did you have pulled with the nitrous shot?

Re: dyno results.. nitrous

i didnt have any pulled. on the street i did 6 and 15, and on both them runs that car ran like crap.
next time i go to the dyno, i will mess around with it. but SOTP and the way the car felt with timing pulled, the car was slow and didnt run right.
