Question Driveability Question

Hey,

I have a 1995 Camaro Z28, 5.7 Auto car 163,000km (100,00 miles). The runs poorly when its first started and I usually let it idle for a min or 2 before pulling away. I notice that first thing in the morning before the temp guage reaches normal operating temp that car runs very poorly, no power, hesitation, poor shifting (waits and waits then shifts), even a backfire in the engine compartment. Once the car warms up it runs the way it should.

A couple of things... I noticed the that the intake elbow on the car is ripped when I cleaned the throttle body last summer and the car has recently picked up an exhaust leak as well. The fuel filter was replaced last summer. The car had recent wires on it when I purchased it 2 years ago and the plugs looked in good shape at that point. I have tried some fuel injector cleaner, and it hasn't seemed to help with that much. I am not getting any check engine stuff, and was wondering about the O2 sensor or the injectors going bad... Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Cool ZR

The other thing I forgot to mention is, that after I fill the car up with gas, when I pull out of the gas station she bogs down badly for a bit and then runs fine again. I've tried shifting into neutral to see if I could issolate the problem but the motor revs up fine.

Thanks

I found the problem. I could hear a ticking sound after I fixed my exhaust leak, so I rached in and saw one of the plug wires was not held in place and was bouncing against the inner fender structure, so I tied it back out of the way and now the car runs the way it should and doesn't tick!
