draglites...what size?
draglites...what size?
I'm looking at getting a set of draglites but wanted to get some knowlege about them first. I see lots of people are running 15 X 10's, but what about the back spacing do I need to know? If I buy wheels now that will fit my stock 10 bolt will they fit a different rear if I blow my stocker
? Any info will help
Thanks

Check out Bogart rims www.sjmmanufacturing.homestead.com , they are lighter, designed to be a direct fit, not to mention more choices in styles. Much higher quality then a prostar or draglite rim.

Normal backspacing is:
15x10: 7.5"
15x8: 5.5"
As long as you've got about 2-2.5" of spacing, you're fine. My old Centerlines were x 15x7.5" or so w/ a 5" backspacing. Looked perfect.
Also invest in a good die grinder and a LOT of bits. You'll need them to take down the calipers. At least you've got an LT1. LS1s are even worse.

Here is a picture of a ground caliper.
If it fits on a 10-bolt, it will fit on a 12-bolt or a 9-inch, as long as you are using the same calipers. Note Strange axles in picture.

That's good to know about fitting the different rear ends because I think there is a good chance that my stocker won't hold up too long after my heads and cam swap is finished!
Thanks for the info.
