So adding it all up, it should be around 200 bucks right?

So weakest link would be spider gears or the thin ring gear for 3.73's? I've got 3.42's which are thicker.... so It makes me feel slightly safer....

but my rebuild has the crush spacer instead of solid. - not good.

But.... does the Torsen Zxel diff have spider gears made of butter? I know it don't have the springs lik normal posi, but is it more succeptable to breakage?

How about 315's... how do they compare to DR? Say the Goodyear F1's not 315 in Drag Radial.

I too wonder how long the rebuilt rear will hold up to street 315's.

That's correct if you already have your gears installed and are just replacing the crush collar for the solid spacer and adding the stud kit and rear cover.

315's don't really compare to DR's, sure you get 12.5" of tread pattern on the ground but they are still way different compounds. I've heard nothing good about F1's, went with BFG KD that have a 200 treadware and stick extremely good for a street tire, they aren't cheap but worth every penny. Then again you wouldn't want to tear up your everyday driving tire either. You may consider weekend swapout rims with ET streets

Thanks Brett for the reply. I just installed the 315's Supercars and use them daily for work commute. I've got A4 and wondered the life expectance for the 10-bolt. I always rationalize that the stock rear will only break with slicks. Next on the totem pole damage scale would be drag radials, then the superwide 315's.

What size you have BFG's? Most prob the 275's?

So far this Houston weather is all Rain, so I haven't experienced any dry full-thorttle starts on the 315's. Hehe....

Oh... anyone in Houston heard of Houston Motorsports Park Dragstrip off Beltway 8 NE side? My buds are racing there 3/13 and I wonder if that place any good?
