cam question

I plan on getting the LT4 hot cam kit in the future. what is the quality of this cam and do I need to get different heads to fit this cam.

I have heard alot of good things about this cam, but I want to know the truth. i know that the lift is .492 with 1.5 rockers and .525(i believe) with 1.6 rockers. which is better for street use

You can use stcok heads with this cam because its pretty mild. I would just buy the hot cam kit around $500 and it comes with springs, 1.6 roller rockers,

I would also get your heads P&P, and get some headders to see the full potential of the cam.

Get the Hotcam package that comes with 1.6 RR, LT4 springs, retainers, and other goodies for $500. I would also make sure you get a good tune, and slap some headers on there to make it breath a little better.

You don't need new heads, but it will really wake you car up. Get them only if you have the money to.

That's funny. The Hotcam has also dynoed 350 rwhp with stock heads. Just the other day. Look at GREGG 97Z

The Hotcam is a very nice cam. You don't need to change the heads, or have them ported. I would recommend headers and cat-back first though.

Porting and polishing the heads will just wake up that cam even more.

Many, Many people have been happy with it. It's great for the street also.

Typically, it will put down 320-330 rwhp with stock heads. You need headers and a catback to get those numbers though. Otherwise you are choking the cam in my opinion.
