Doing a Self tune up questions

I want to do a self tune up. Like change plugs, fuel filter, oil change, oil filter, rotor cap. What else do i need to complete this tune up? Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

I would change your tranny fluid and filter if it's been a while. Cheap to do. Also make sure you have good plugs and make sure you have a lot of time to get it done. The plugs take a while.

Whats the best way to do the plugs? I know some you have to get under the car, and you also have to remove the alternator.

I'm not sure with headers, but on a stock engine:
1. Jack front end up.
2. Disconnect negative on battery.
3. Drivers side, 1, 3, 5, 7, all done from the underside.
4. Passengers side, remove alternator (be careful to disconnect the single wire under the alternator) do 2 and 4. Under the car, remove the started bolts ~ push the starter forward ~ slide you arms up where starter was & do 6 & 8.
5. Put starter & alternator back on.
6. Done. ~ It takes 2 hours total.

Other things to consider:
-scan PCM for codes
-replace plug wires
-replace PCV valve
-replace rear axle lube (don't forget LSD additive)
-replace brake fluid
-inspect brake calipers and lines for leaks
-replace coolant
-lubricate lock cylinders
-replace air filter (if gauze panel, clean if more than 25K miles)
-inspect serpentine belt for cracks
-inspect all coolant hoses
-check water pump weep holes for drips
-check all vacuum lines for cracks and leaks
-check cover plate on throttle body for oil buildup

I wouldn't change the cap and rotor on the Optispark unless you have evidence of a problem.
