Do I need an aftermarket fuel pump?

With the engine in my sig, and a 150 shot, will I need to upgrade my fuel pump? I really dont have the money for it but I dont want to ruin my engine by leaning it out or something. Im supposed to have around 400-420 RWHP N/A. Thanks

Running out of fuel will definitely kill your engine! The only way to know for sure is to check it on the dyno with a wide band O2 sensor. This will also help you determine if your combo has been tuned properly. Proper tuning will give you safe power. I think with the 150 shot of nitrous you will be marginal with the stock fuel system. You could probably beef it up with an in-line pump to supplement your in-tank pump. The Racetronix in-tank pump is the better way to go; just a lot more work to replace the pump.

Very marginal at best with the stock system, especially with a 150 shot. You will need to get a 255lph pump, or at least a 190, but the differance in price is negigable. Check out the Walbro pump, its only about $150. But i would not use the stock pump with your setup.

Please read our ad to understand the factory FLT1 fuel system and what the Racetronix product has to offer over a generic off the shelf pump.
