Deltech Ltcc dyno numbers

ok i know that going to coils is the best thing u could ever do for an LT1. But are there any rwhp gains from doing so? If anyone has got any info for hp gains let me know. Not to sure why u would spend 1300 on em if u didnt. Considering the MSD opti is out now, if it is as good as they say and u dont get any hp from the coils then i dont see why u would go to em. Let me know though, thanks.

If each system is operating properly you will not see a difference in power.

First, I dunno where you got the $1,300 figure at, but I got my Delteq system brand new for less than $500.

Bought a bare bones kit from here: http://www.paceparts.com/index.asp?P...&ProdID=146731

And a brand new set of coilpacks and ignition module here: http://stores.ebay.com/ECarOnline

Second, hotter ignition systems aren't meant to give you horsepower gains on their own, per se. What they do is remove the limitations that stock ignition systems have that hinder you from making more power from other parts. (I.E.-heads and cam, blower, NOS, etc.) For example, if you were to install a heads and cam setup that required you to spin 6,500rpm's to see peak power numbers, but your stock opti sputters and misfires at 6,300rpm's, then by installing a better ignition system and removing that problem from the equation you would be regaining horsepower that was previously being left on the table. That's really where the cost of a better ignition is justified.

FWIW, after I installed my Delteq, even though I didn't really get any power gains from it, one thing it did for certain was give GREAT throttle response.
