Shoebox covers the removal of the crank hub in his cam removal writeup. You have to scroll down at least 3/4 of the way to the bottom, just below the red link for “Optispark mounting diagram”. It includes details if the specifics required to avoid problem specific to the LT1.

A 3 spoke wheel puller tool will get it off.....its getting it back on that takes either a home brew one or the exploding wallet Kent Moore removal/install tool # J 39046. Sometimes you can find them on ebay but not heap. I bought one about 20 years ago but it was only $40 then
Home brew would be using the correct size all thread rod, thrust bearing and a stack of flat washers and nut. I made one for a Ford motor I have.
do not use the center crank hub bolt to "pull" it on...you will strip out the crank. Don't beat it on with a hammer either
