Could this be causing my problems?



While working on the opti, I noticed this out of the corner of my eye...Could this be causing my problems? I know it is probably a vacuum leak, which is what my problem is reminiscient of. Lousy idle, almost no vacuum, code 33 MAP high

yep thats the vacumm canister if the hose is gone it will cause some probs like that

And can you just remove it? This car has zero chance of passing an emissions test anyway.

Oh, and are there supposed to be 2 lines going into it? I can only find one...

just fix the line it comes from where the lines for the ac controls are that has that little checkvalve on it

OK, but there is only one line in the vicinity...And it looks like there are 2 openings...That's the question I have now...

i dont think that is an opening i just thinl it is a locating pin or something because i only have one on mine also

Yeah, I went and looked, and it does look like that. All I can hope is that it is the issue, cause I am going to put it all back together...
