How-to Route Over The Valve Cover Wires | Tech Aids & Articles

that shows pictures.

im pretty sure the ones the dealer used on mine a few years ago were ac delco and they had a lifetime warranty. might be worth a quick check.

ltcc is the coil setup. For me it worked great because i needed something to retard timing when spraying and I had 160,000 on my opti and was leary of putting my original back in with new motor,

6 and 8 arent to bad to replace the plugs taking starter off(2 bolts and a couple nuts with wires] but thats on mine with long tubes

quick heads up about the cut to fit wires. you would need lt1 style ends to put on the wires(i think i got mine from taylor) im not sure but i would bet the oe size for 8 would probably be long enough but I am not familiar with original routing

on my 1997 Z28 LT1......900$ is the same amount i was quoted by a chevy dealer in southern CA. I thought the price was outragous so i just took on the task myself. Knowing it was going to be daunting i waited untill i had a full 3 days to work on it so i didnt have to rush and could take my time one wire and plug at a time. Took probibly 10hrs total but got the job done and it runs like a champ. 900$ is alot but unless your going to do the job yourself then paying just any mechanics shop to do it for a little cheaper isnt good. They probibly have limited knowledge of the application and are in a rush to do the job so that means treating your car like s**t. I'd say just take it to the dealer. ...

Check these OVC sparkplug wire kit on my car. I have mid-length headers and they work great. Its about a 130 $ kit. You do have to crimp the spark plugs ends and cut to length, but they work great. Have had them on for a year + and no problems with wires arcing or making contact with the headers.
The kit is at Thunder Racing

I did not remove anything to install this kit. Very easy to do. Here is a video of what I did on my car.

You might want to start a new thread.... your question is unrelated to this thread.

$900 for plugs and wires lol, that's a raping they should go to prison for. Its tight quarters to change plugs and wires but a seasoned dealership mechanic should get it done in a few hours not 9 hrs. They would prob quote you $2000 to do a optispark! What a joke and a rip off some places are, makes me sick.

You're responding to a post from 2 years ago. The person who posted the question hasn't been back to the site in 2 years.

The only reason this topic came back to the top was because someone recently decided to tack on a totally unrelated question.
