Copper RTV

Is this the stuff everyone uses to help seal up their header gaskets? Link It says its only rated to 700 degrees but I figured that headers get a hell of a lot hotter than that. I don't know what other RTV people use on thieir gaskets other than this...

I doubt you could use it on headers, I used it on my rear intake manifold leak. Works great.

I really wouldn't use it on headers. If you're having problems with the gaskets sealing, something might be wrong there.

I havn't had a problem with them sealing since this is the first time I have put them on I just don't want a problem with them leaking. Everyone says they use copper RTV and this is the only stuff...

Gotcha. Honestly, I'd say, just use the gaskets. That's what I did 3 months ago and haven't had a singlre problem yet. Just re-check the bolts tightness for about the forst week and you should be good.
