Clutch Pedal Switches

When testing for leaks and installing my new clutch master cylinder, I noticed that there are two switches that come in contact with the clutch pedal, one for the pedal being up, and one for the pedal being down. What function does the switch with the pedal in the up position serve?

Re: Clutch Pedal Switches

As the clutch starts to be depressed, that switch disengages cruise control.

Re: Clutch Pedal Switches

Thanks Fred! I installed a new adjustable clutch master cylinder and the pedal now sits about 3/4" away from the switch. I will find something to mount on the pedal to close the gap.
