Clutch pedal has 4 inches of play???
Hi,
Im having an issue with my clutch pedal. I never really knew anything was up with it till I started working on a friends 94 T/A. I got in his car and noticed that the clutch pedal was around 4 inches higher than mine (almost even with the brake pedal) So I got in my car and looked and sure enough the pedal is around 3 to 4 inches closer to the floor. So I put the toe of my shoe under the pedal and pulled up and there is about 4 inches of free play befor it stops at the top. Whats up with this?? Is my clutch master cylender bad? Or have a bent my clutch pedal stabbing gears?? Im kindof at a loss here, cause everything seems to work ok but the pedal is just really low. Thanks for all your help.

Did you check your clutch slave reservoir? Its the small one next to the brake fluid res. Your slave cylinder might be going bad, too. I had to swap mine out last year. Good luck!

Yeah I checked to make sure it was full on fluid, and no the clutch is not stock. I have a SPEC stage 4 clutch with about 6,000 miles on it. Im guessing the master cylender might be bad, but Im still open for suggestions. Thanks
