Unhappy Changing Alternators

Mine is shot. I did a test at work yesterday. Plus its making my car sound like it has a blower on it, which is deffentally not normal.
My question deals with the belt. Can i just unbolt the alternator, put the new one in and get the belt to the proper tension? Or should I losen something elsewhere first?

How much should one be?? Thanks.

No need to adjust.. swap the alternator, throw the belt back on and the tensioner will tighten accordingly

Yea the tensioner is right on the digram under the hood. It's really simple, just get a 13 wrench, and you are done in 2 minutes
