Changed plugs now backfire
I changed my plugs and everything and turned the car on and it was real uneven followed by a kindof squeek sound and then a back fire from the exhaust and the intake.. any thoughts? im going to go double check the firing order again..
its like a miss actually and a very small backfire when it does it.. i just started it again and it wasnt quite as bad.. could it be something in the computer? when i took the other plugs off one of them wasnt even fully hooked up and another was pretty loose.
yeah, i double checked the routing on the passenger side and i had 4 and 8 in the wrong spots. it runs so much smoother now... Im still having idle problems while in gear though. when i come to a stop it will drop low then even itself back out after about 4 or 5 seconds(it did this before the plugs). any suggestions? (i have slotted the tps etc. for the correct voltage, now changed the plugs, adjusted throttle blade a little with no real results) could it be the valve lash? the mechanic that did this was a *****.
Im also using TR5's gapped at .035 just to answer the question about the plug gap
