Question Centerforce, yes or no ?

Do you think that Centerforce dual friction Clutch Kit is a good choice for hi powered streetrace cars?

If I remember right, centerforce is pretty expensive.
How much hp do you have?
Spec stage II can hold 480-500 hp I think and it is only $440 from Thunder Racing.

I would not buy a Centerforce. Too many potential problems. Do a search on this subject.

So which Clutch-kit would you recommend me? Thunder Racing? I think I will have something round 650 bhp. Should I buy a flywheel? If yes, which one - steel or alluminium?

Thanx ...

My centerforce has been awesome for me. I have broken many other things and the centerforce is still going strong. No regrets.
FWIW-I got mine for $325 slightly used...say what you may, but it's doing an awesome job, no matter how hard I abuse it.

Id give Jason Cromer a call and buy an LT4 pressure plate for $200 if I remember correctly.. maybe a lot less. Then you can eitehr buy a stock disc thats like $180 or just get one from SLP for $80 last i checked. The discs look identical to me btw. The LT4 pp is the same one used by SPEC then they supply their own special disc. The combinations of PP and clutch disc are pretty extensive once you get the LT4 b/c you can add any variety of SPEC, Mcloed(sp), stock LT1, stock SLP and a few others. But for a stock to slightly modded car I see no reason to buy anything other than LT4 pp/SLP or stock dics. JMHO.

With the power you want to put down I would go with the Mcleod Street Twin, Don't bother with anything else and you won't have to worry about your clutch again. I paid $875 for mine, But for that price you get an adjustable stainless Master cylinder, Flywheel, 2 discs & spacers and Pressure plate plus if anything were to break you can just buy the parts you need .
