The cam is a Comp Cams 290HR-12 (CC306). The camcard shows the cam to be a 108 C/L. Shows intake valve opening at 37 degrees BTDC. Degreed the cam several times with same results. The cam comes in at 107.5 C/L but the intake valve opens at 48 degrees BTDC, obviously 11 degrees early. Anyone else ever run into this situation?

 

Check the cam card to see what they mean by open. It could mean a lift of .050"..

 

Thanks for the info. Upon closer examination of the fine print, valve timing is at .006" lift. That corrected the problem.

 

I've read ALOT of stuff on this site, but I've never read anything like this....
