Canton Oil Pan with BMR K Member

Will the Canton Oil pan Part #15-242T work with an aftermarket bmr k member? Also is there enough clearance in the pan for a 383?

I have a 6 qt Canton Oil Pan (not sure of the part #) in my 383 car, and I also have the BMR K member as well as the upper and lower A-arms. Everything fit just fine in my car.

I have done some reading and it seems even with that oil pan and a 383 stroker kit that the rods still hit the pan? I have the 5.7 rods do you think I will still have to clearance the pan?

The rods are not even close to the pan.

I bought a Canton oil pan about 5-6 years ago and I bought a BMR k-member about 3 years ago and had them make it special being a 1/2 lower than normal.

I believe that Canton changed their style at some point because my pan was rubbbing on the original steering rack and it would have hit if I would not had it special made.

You don't read of that anymore.

The rods will clear just fine, as they do in my 383.

Just a note, if your using FLP/Dynatech headers, mine are the older FLP's with a canton oil pan, they touch on the LH wing of the oil pan.
My engine shop had to clear the scrapers in the oil pan a little for the crank.
Side note on an above comment, the pan has plenty of clearance to the steering rack, now.

the only way to know if it will clear is to mock it up, I had to clearance the crank scraper on mine I have manley 5.7 rods and the bolts hit the scraper, a little tapping with a ball pein hammer and problem fixed.
