due to buying used headers which i didnt know the flanges were way warped on i had to surface the sh#t out of them to get em flat again. now the drivers side hits on my oil filter hard. what should i do? can i run a smaller filter?

The ideal solution in this instance is to get a second header flange and sandwich it between the head and the header, I believe ACDelco PF25 is the smallest oil filter you can run so if PF25 wont work try and see about getting a second header flange (may need to get it milled enough to fit your headerbolts)

I would bring the header to a good exhaust shop and see what they charge to replace the header flange. I wouldn't want to compromise the oil system.

can anyone tell me aprox. how much clearance there is between your oil filter and pacesetter LT's. i know i surfaced off quite a bit but i dont think it should be this much. im thinking about putting about my oil cooler back on with a block off plate in order to get the filter down a little lower and hopefully help with clearance.
